DO NOT BUY! this tripod is light but made of plastic. the plate fits loose and the locks on the legs dont seem to hold correctly. this is a bad and cheap tripod!!!!!!!!!

Tripod arrived fast from retailer-- it is compact and light weight, easy to set up and use. It is made of aluminum and plastic which I did not realize that the camera mount is plastic. It screws into the bottom of the camera and then snaps into place on top of the tripod-- I have to be careful if I move the camera as it will loosen. Plus I do not feel the snap in mount is very secure or long lasting compared to my old tripod that is metal and a little heavier.
I am happy with it otherwise and just need to be aware of how tight the screw and mount is in.

It cheaply made, not very sturdy , but will do the job it was intended for in my house. Not for a professional photographer at all.
